Marijuana Doesn’t Cause Schizophrenia, Unless you’re doing Research at Northwestern University

Marijuana-Schizophrenia Connection Just More “Reefer Madness”

It appears Harvard beat me to the punch on shitting on a study correlating schizophrenia and marijuana usage. “Considering modern rates of usage, if cannabis really produced psychosis, the streets would be choked with a gibbering throng of burned-out potheads. It doesn’t. They aren’t,” Elliott said. Great quote. Great logic. In this article they also discuss how increases in marijuana usage in Britain did not have any impact on the rate of psychosis or schizophrenia. Ipso facto, if you still believe marijuana does bad stuff to you, you’re a dumb dumb.

Anyone who still brings up the argument that marijuana is bad for developing brains should be spanked with a wooden paddle and sent off to some actual thinking and reading. Regardless of whether or not the schizophrenia study has any validity to it, doing any drugs while your brain is developing is bad. If they did a study looking at test scores from people who drank heavily when they were in middle school and high school, compared to normal folk you’d probably see the drinkers brains were deformed. In fact I can guarantee it. Saw a TV show or something about it in high school to try to keep me from drinking.

If cigarettes and booze are legal marijuana should be too. Case closed.
