The NFL reached a $765 million dollar agreement with the 4,500 players involved in the concussion litigation. Its endearing to see the owners, who were painted is quite heartless and greedy during the lockout, come together and agree on something as important as this.
“This is a historic agreement, one that will make sure that former NFL players who need and deserve compensation will receive it, and that will promote safety for players at all levels of football,”
“Commissioner Goodell and every owner gave the legal team the same direction: Do the right thing for the game and for the men who played it. We thought it was critical to get more help to players and families who deserve it rather than spend many years and millions of dollars on litigation.”
Just great stuff. Hammer it out. Get it done. Don’t lollygag about with litigation. Thankfully the players are going to get the help they need. Maybe now Jimmy Johnson can stop doing those terrible Extenze commercials. Wait? Its Terry Bradshaw who has the brain injuries? Jimmy is just doing those commercials for fun? Weird. Dude must just have a small peen.
